Tourism Tofino is excited to announce that it has officially become a member of Indigenous Tourism BC (ITBC).
For the first time, near the end of 2023, ITBC allowed non-Indigenous organizations to apply to become a member of ITBC under their newly created ‘Friends of ITBC’ membership category. Non-Indigenous organizations have to demonstrate their commitment to lift up Indigenous tourism experiences and reconciliation through tourism.
We are so proud to be one of the first members of this new category and we look forward to continuing our meaningful work with ITBC, Tla-o-qui-aht, and other West Coast First Nations seeking to build a better future through responsible tourism.
