Tourism Tofino is currently undertaking a study of the economic impact of the tourism industry in Tofino. InterVISTAS Consulting was commissioned to conduct this study.
The results of this study will provide our industry with a detailed analysis of the scope of tourism in Tofino and the surrounding areas. The data collected will be used to better understand the role of tourism in Tofino and the impact of overnight visitation on infrastructure, services, and amenities in our community. The study will also raise awareness for the public and government on the important contribution to employment and economic activity provided by tourism-related businesses in the region.

The visitor services team will conduct the study’s visitor intercept portion over the next few weeks. Expect to see our team with iPads at the beaches and in town. On rainy days, we may stop by businesses to survey visitors waiting for food & drink or waiting for tours to commence.
The business portion of the study will commence in late November. Expect to hear from an InterVISTAS representative. Your co-operation and participation is greatly appreciated.
