Join us for the opening of the upcoming exhibit, “Truth, Honour & the Way Forward” in partnership with the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust, Ucluelet Secondary School, and the Legacy of Hope Foundation.

This exhibit showcases the work of students at Ucluelet Secondary School, who have created various artifacts following their engagement with personal stories from Knowledge Holders and residential school Survivors. These artifacts include poetry, orange shirts, research projects, and investigations into the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. We are also featuring the latest exhibit from the Legacy of Hope Foundation: “Indian Day Schools in Canada – An Introduction.”
Drumming & poetry readings by students and Tofino’s Poet Laureate at 3:15pm.
Additionally, the exhibit will be on display October 13th to 19th at the Tofino Visitor Centre, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You’ll have the opportunity to purchase poetry books from “Truth, Honour & the Way Forward” and orange t-shirts designed by USS student Koyah Morgan-Bank at the event or online. All proceeds will support student-led National Truth and Reconciliation projects & exhibits at Ucluelet Secondary School.
