Critical Pipeline Repair Triggers Temporary Water Restrictions

The District of Tofino is asking all residents and businesses to significantly reduce water usage today, June 8^th , between the hours of 7am-3pm while a critical repair is made to a submarine pipeline from Meares Island.

The restrictions include but are not limited to:

• Watering gardens and lawns
• Washing vehicles and boats
• Outdoor showers
• Washing of wetsuits

The restrictions are necessary to ensure adequate reserves for fire protection.
During this time, all public showers will be shut off.
