Google Business Profiles (free business listings) are an important tool to help visitors find your business.
It’s common for them to use Google to get a lay of the land: where to eat, what to do, and what to buy. A Google Business Profile syncs with Google Maps to display your location and most importantly, up-to-date business hours. While we see a number of businesses updating info on individual Instagram accounts, Google is more commonly used as an information resource.
As we shift into summer, we strongly encourage all businesses to keep their Google Business Profiles up to date. It is a free marketing tool that also assists front-line staff quickly and efficiently directs guests to your business. When your operating hours are not up to date, it can lead to frustrated guests and decreased trust in your business listing.
You can find information on how to claim or update your Google Business listing (formally Google My Business) here.
We are happy to set up or walk through your business listing with you. If this is of interest, please contact Jody Kirk, Visitor & Member Services Manager, firstname.lastname@example.org, 1.250.800.7380 ext 107 to set up a time.
