A strategic objective of Tourism Tofino, and one endorsed by members through consultation, is increasing non-peak visitation to improve business sustainability and improve long-term employment opportunities.
One opportunity to action this is to to target corporate business – specifically the small meetings, retreats, and incentive travel sector. The time is right to tackle this as after a 2 year pause the desire to start travelling to meet again is growing.
To provide member businesses with the opportunity to directly target the meetings and corporate sector, we have made our meetings campaign into a co-operative program. This program provides members with the opportunity to leverage our paid advertising where the call-to-action leads to our website, and where you will have a listing. There will also be opportunities to participate in destination sales events, familiarization tours (FAMs) and be represented by Tourism Tofino at specialized marketplaces.
