We and other Vancouver Island DMOs are participating in the production of a NEW accessible travel guide, which will include itineraries for each community and one central landing page.
Tourism Vancouver Island will send content creators (photographers and videographers) to capture featured locations, and are asking us to point them in the direction of accommodations, activity providers and restaurants/specialty food and beverage businesses that are accessible.
Please email me at samantha@tourismtofino.com by Friday, October 15 if you are a member of Tourism Tofino and would like us to send your business contact information their way, and please specify how your experience/accommodation is accessible (properties can mention specific accommodation types, eg. “Our two Starfish Suites are on the ground floor, have accessible bathrooms, wide doorways to accommodate a wheelchair “, etc. TVI is also seeking to schedule Universal Design audits for those interested.
