Hello Members and Subscribers,

While campfire bans were recently lifted in certain parts of B.C., the ban still is in effect here in Tofino.
With Labour Day weekend coming up, this will continue to be a common inquiry.

Please feel free to direct visitors and front-line staff to this link for details.

Small beach fires are ONLY permitted within the following parameters:

– on MacKenzie and Chesterman Beaches
– between 8:00am and 10:00pm
– in a CSA or ULC-approved portable propane fire pit, and
– propane fires must be at least 3m (10′) from vegetation, logs or structures, and must be supervised at all times by a person 16 years of age or older.
