Travel Orders and Events Impact Survey
Vancouver Island BC tourism businesses have faced many challenges this summer (June to August 2023), while still recovering from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The BC Regional Tourism Secretariat (BCRTS) and the British Columbia Hotel Association (BCHA) are working together to assess the immediate and long-term impacts on BC tourism stakeholders from crisis events in the summer of 2023, such as wildfires, poor air quality, road closures, the provincial State of Emergency, and the Travel Restriction Order.
The following survey is designed to collect information on the impacts to tourism operations and to present a summary to the BC Ministry of Tourism, Art, Culture, and Sport (MTACS) to share with other ministries.
