As expected our unofficial straw poll has confirmed that May occupancy levels have dropped significantly since enhanced travel restrictions were implemented last week. With 11 resorts, campgrounds and vacation rental companies reporting, estimated occupancy for May is currently 21%. For comparison purposes, 2019 May occupancy was 76.1%.
June projections are much more positive at 74% and are based on the assumption that restrictions will be lifted. June occupancy in 2019 was 84.1%.
We will provide an update in a few weeks time, but if you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to contact me at 250-800-7380 ext. 101.

Hello
the beachnest (single cabin, sleeps 2 pax) rented in May 2020 7 nights
and in May 2021 3 nights
In May 2019 it was closed for renovation, but in 2018 and before it was rented to 100% in May.
In June 2020 I had bookings for 17 nights, so far I have for June Nil confirmed bookings, I had bookings for 25 nights prior to the travel restrictions and they all cancelled, with the explanation that guests are tired of the restrictions and that the government controls their “freedom” and the trouble and disappoint goes along with it.
so let’s hope for better times. Not fun right now.
kind regards
Tonquin Beachnest Team
