On Saturday, November 7, the PHO announced new restrictions  for the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health regions.   The PHO is now strongly recommending against non-essential travel into or out of these regions until 12:00 noon on November 23 and as a result many of you are receiving inquiries and cancellations.

In response to these new restrictions Tourism Tofino immediately arranged to pause all advertising in these regions for the next 2 weeks.  Additionally, we will utilize our social media to inform travellers about these restrictions.

 

The Visitor Centre is also fielding inquiries with the below messaging:

  1. For travellers with bookings before Nov 23:  

As per the recent announcement from the government of BC, non-essential travel out of the Vancouver Coastal & Fraser Health regions is not recommended until 12:00 noon on November 23rd. This recommendation does not apply to residents of the Vancouver Island, Interior or Northern BC Health regions or out of province residents. If you are a resident of the Vancouver Coastal & Fraser Health regions, with reservations before November 23rd, we recommend  that you contact your accommodation provider.

 2.  For travellers inquiring about booking:
